Our History

About Me

Born and raised in East County San Diego, I grew up in a large, tight-knit family and am one of four kids. Family, hard work, and helping others have always been a big part of who I am and those values are the foundation of Smith Brothers Property Group.

Construction has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around general construction and have been hands-on with residential construction for more than 25 years. I also spent over 10 years working professionally for a major general contractor, gaining experience and knowledge across many areas of the construction process. That background has given me a practical understanding of how homes are built, how their systems work, and the importance of recognizing potential issues before they become bigger problems.

Alongside my construction background, I have spent the last 20 years working in Information Technology at UC San Diego. My career in technology has helped me develop strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organization, and a methodical approach to evaluating complex situations skills that I bring to every service I provide.

Real estate has also been a familiar part of my life. With many friends and family members working in real estate, escrow, and related industries, I have spent years around the people and processes involved in buying, selling, building, and maintaining property. This exposure, combined with my background in technology and construction, allows me to bring a unique and detail-oriented perspective to every project.

Smith Brothers Property Group was built around my passion for helping people and providing the quality of service that I would want for my own family and friends. Whether I am helping a homeowner better understand their property, performing a home inspection to help a buyer make an informed decision, documenting a project, evaluating construction, or assisting with other property-related needs, my goal is simple: provide honest, dependable service and help people make more informed decisions.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, off-roading in the desert, visiting the river and lakes, and traveling whenever I get the opportunity.

At the end of the day, I believe good service is about more than just completing a job. It is about being dependable, paying attention to the details, communicating clearly, and treating every client's property as if it were my own. As a lifelong San Diego resident, I am proud to serve the community I have called home my entire life.
